Bingo! May/Berto? Get outta here with that garbage!

You gotta start somewhere and this is a good start with GGG and Lemieux. 2 hard hitting boxers hungry to get at each other, what's better than that?

It's easy to go toe to toe when you haven't fought nobody threatening

That don't make it PPV, that just make it a good fight. PPV in my opinion brings something else to the table: casual fans, celebrity, culture, nationality, pride, history. This fight is like a UFC event to me not an HBO PPV

What is an acceptable number 200,000?

Cause this will be a Thriller of a fight, not a run away b!tch fight like Andre Ward brings to table against the leftovers of Arhtur Abraham :deal

A thriller of a fight between two unknowns is generally on regular HBO isn't it?

Because two unknowns don't sell out MSG, get very good HBO ratings, and because you're just trolling. Enjoy the big fight

    If .....

    1) you are a fan of GGG or Lemieux then you should by the PPV
    2) you want GGG to become the next crossover star, you should buy the PPV
    3) you wanted to see GGG/Lemieux, you should buy the PPV

And to answer your question, it's on PPV because the amount of money needed to get Lemieux in the ring means it HAD to be on PPV. They had to offer him so much money that PPV was the only way. It was either have it on PPV and give the fans the fight or not have it on PPV and not have the fight.

If they were known then PPV success would not be based on 200k buys

I'm struggling to find sports bars that will even be showing the fight. The fight without a doubt isn't PPV worthy and people should be up and arms about it being PPV. It should be on HBO championship boxing card.

It's not huge if it was I wouldn't be struggling in the 4th largest city in the USA to find a bar that will be showing it.:deal Hell they had bars that showed the JMM-Bradley PPV FFS I haven't found one that is showing this fight. Cotto-GGG would be huge GGG-Canelo would be huge Ward-GGG would be huge GGG-Lemieux isn't huge.

The consumer will decide whether it's PPV or not based on the final amount of buys.
HBO is in business to make money and build new stars. Over 200k buys would be a good number.
