This fight was so lopsided I find it hard to imagine that any true boxing fan who knows what to look for thinks Spinks remotely won these fights...He was hit with power jabs/straight rights/pressed the action and picked off many of Spinks weak punches.Spinks doing little in every round but the last 20 seconds in most....This is blatantly one sided in BOTh fights ,much more than Lewis /Holyfield by far.

Totally disagree. Even the second one I thought could have reasonably gone to Spinks, although I had it to Holmes. I have no problem with a card any of the three ways.

I had Holmes winning the second one, but the first did go to Spinks. He irritated Holmes with those awkward angles and movement.

Holmes got his ass kicked in the first one.. He looked lethargic and lazy in there while Spinks was giving it everything he had. The rematch was a different story, though still not a stellar performance for Holmes... Incidentally I think Carl Williams edged him in their meeting too.

Spinks won both, with the second one being closer of course. but did Larry--as the challenger---do enough to take the title from the champ? I do not think he did and came up a little short on the cards.

But this was the first guy Holmes had fought in a long time that didn't have a sloppy defense and gave automatic openings to. he had to break down a guy like Spinks and those older reflexes just couldn't pull it off. 1979 and it'sa different story and Holmes runs him out of the ring.

But Spinks didn't go into that bout looking like a million either---I thought davis deserved the nod over him just like Carl Williams should have got the nod. So still an intriguing matchup when it was made between two undefeated guys with championship pedigree.

Many if not most Spinks shots did not land and were counted...Holmes won 8 rounds ,I had one even and gave 3 to spinks.he was rocked frequently/buckeled,nearly dropped twice and in return threw pillow punches,no damage at all ,pretendiong to hit with slap like shots of half missing anyway...the only rounds he won decisively were 7/8/9 I believe when holmes decided to take arrest and cruise. This is the rematch.....the first one was closer but by no means did Spinks actually win and everybody but the Marciano family knows this.

:rofl it was a fifteen round fight you goon. You've made up a 12 round scorecard. Why are you now going around the forum making up scorecards, anyway?

    Gtfo.

First the Lewis-Vitali fight, now this.

It should be crystal clear by now that termite doesn't even watch the matches. Ignore.

I ad 8/3/1 on my sheet. I don't believe I scored 3 rounds out of the rematch, which would give Holmes a wiin anyway... Im not making anything it is a poll...MOST boxing exports like Sugar had stated it was one of the biggest robberies ever, along with media.

I also never stated Ali was stronger than foreman that was you!

 i watched the fight SO CAREFULLY i didn't bother with the last three rounds.

Even though it could have changed the fight from my made up 8/3/1 to 8/6/1 taking a fight from wide to very close, and my whole point is that the fight "wasn't close" to serious boxing fans.

    A fine, fine moment.

aka even  but you scored one even.

Am I really supposed to believe that you posted a scorecard for a fight you are claiming anyone who disagrees with you on doesn't know boxing...with three "close" rounds left off??

Tell me- what is the difference between a "close round" and an "even round" and do you often exclude them from your scores?
