is his weight class just not very deep talent wise because there are not that many men in the world that small?

    Niida
    Takayama
    Estrada
    Rodriguez Jr.
    Yaegashi
    Sosa
    (and potentially Viloria)

...all highly notable and among the best or the best 105-112 in the several year span which he defeated them all.

Highly skilled, very good power, and went soul searching against Estrada, who Imo is Mexico's best fighter atm, not Canelo, just that Alvarez is much more popular. Their fight was a classic and could of gone either way, that's why a rematch is highly anticipated. And then there's Inouye... Truly a monster. Gonzalez, Estrada, Inouye, Viloria. All 4 could make some really great fights. Oh, and Nietes is also another real threat, underrated technician.

he is good but a properly conditioned and focused viloria is better.

people shouldn't be surprised this weekend.

Talent is typically deepest at 147-168 because that's what the average man would fight at.

There aren't a lot of guys who are Gonzalez's size.

From the sounds of it, you're going to be shocked!

At his best, which was years ago, Viloria was wildly inconsistent. He hasn't exactly impressed at all since losing to Estrada either.

I think it's more if a case if Gonzalaz being that good, he's really been on a regin of terror throughout the lower weight division's for the past few years.

Unbeaten 3 weight Champ, although down there its only a few lbs separating them.

He is legitimately top 3 P4P with Wlad and Kovalev/Ward.

He's that good. If you're questioning this it means you need to educate yourself about his weight range because his résumé boasts elite scalps @ four different weight classes, all of which (except straw) are pretty deep.
