    Selby started off way too aggressively, too eager to impress and too eager for the KO. Montiel is oldmaning at times. He's excellent at catching and blocking shots with his gloves.

    Very underwhelmed by Selby. I saw the Grado fight on a ****ty ass stream. People talk him up like he's great.

    Selby is trying for quick jabs off the hip while bending over to ambush Montiel after working some evasive maneuvers to shake his tail. Montiel just keeps pressuring, throwing nice straight crisp right hands down the middle and threatening with the left hook should his quarry try going right. Selby is forced to flurry and move straight back, then circle a bit until forced to repeat. Nice left uppercut on the body from Montiel.

    Selby is throwing flurries into Montiel's guard, barking through his exposed gum shield as he jabs and hammers down with the right from up by his temple. Montiel is patiently standing his ground and blocking with a high guard, slightly leaned back, waiting for chances to counter. Selby is throwing lead rights into Montiel's forearms, a bit sloppy. Montiel shuffles in and skips a right hand over Selby's gloves and down into his peach fuzz mustache. Nice left hook by Selby dashing in. Shoulder roll at mid-range by Selby, left arm swinging by his side like a porch rocker. Jab & grab by Selby. Montiel not firing in time before getting held, too slow on the draw with his counters and not wanting to punch with Selby, gun shy when the flurries are flying.

    Its spot on, Montiel is doing better than most thought he would, but still not overwhelmingly winning any round but maybe one.
