Where was Hearn getting £5mill from?

How come Eddie hasn't offered that to a top yank to come over?

Calling Kell a hype job is laughable. Sure he was badly managed pre Matchroom but since then he has done well. Going to America to win a World Title and he is called a hype job

The problem Kell has is cracking America. He needs a big name on his record as I cant see Matchroom bringing over a top name.

You may well be correct, Chaves might batter him, we will see.

Fact is for such a hype job, Khan still ducked him, Khan is terrified of Brook in my opinion.

Why else would anybody turn down a career high payday.

A payday that would rival any Mayweather purse he would have got.

A world title that would have put him in a real position to challenge Mayweather as him and Floyd would have been the only two world champions at welterweight.

A huge domestic PPV fight that would have been on the level of Froch Vs Groves II that nearly all British fans wanted to see.

Turn all that down to fight Chris Algieri in front of a couple of thousand on Cable TV?

Brook might well get his backside handed to him by a list of welterweights (I don't believe that would be the case) but the fact is Khan bottled it, you can never escape that fact.

    :good

I don't think it got that far, Khan clearly didn't want to fight.
Khan has come up with a million excuses for not fighting Kell but he's never claimed the money wasn't there.

That's Khan's next and last excuse.

If he does not get Pacquiao and it looks unlikely at this moment in time then British boxing fans will again press him for Brook.

Khan has nothing else to do, no other fights signed, it's a big domestic fight and no other fight will earn Khan that sort of money.

They will start talks and Khan will price himself out of a fight and say the money offered is an insult for a superstar like him

Hearn was convinced that he could have sold Wembley out for the Khan fight. Would he for Bradley or Thurman? Were they even available for June 13th?
Thurman had a fight scheduled with Guerrero and Bradley with Vargas for the title?

You gotta take into account gate receipts and the PPV buy rate.

Brook vs khan sells a huge amount of tickets and the PPV numbers will be very high.

Apart from pacquiao. No other fight for kell does them kind of numbers.

It's even worse than the WBO title, though.

What has he done since? Beat Jo Jo dan and Frankie Gavin?

Who's he facing next? Chaves - A man that hasn't got a single decent win at WW.

What after that? ANOTHER mandatory?:lol:

The man is the laughing stock of British Boxing.

Beating Floyd and taking his "0" would be MUCH bigger than his purse against Kell.

    1) Khan would be calling the shots after that.
    2) Khan would have defeated the best fighter of the last 25 years.
    3) The Kell fight will ALWAYS be there as it's a British GRUDGE match.

If the money was there then why have't they brought over a top yank to fight Kell then?
