Who punched harder at 160? Nigel Benn or Julian Jackson?

Helped back in? Gary Newbon barely made contact with his back. Benn sat on the ropes, fell through and the rules are you get 30 seconds to get back in.

McClellan was awesome. Benn was even more awesome.

Complete bull****, Benn wasn't sparked out at all. If he was so beat up then why couldn't Gerald finish him???

He was up at 8 or 9, you can go to youtube watch the fight and just track the clock and see he was up before a 10 count, had he not been knocked through the ropes he would have still been up in time and gone onto win.

Benn had big time power and was entertaining to watch sort of a middleweight Tyson but Julian Jackson had IMHO pretty untouchable concussive power. He must had the strongest tendons he could get a concussion with a relatively short punch.

I can't say Benn hit any harder than any of the classic KO punchers through the years but I can't find a fighter that hit like Jackson with a single punch.

I will say that Benn punched with alot of strength...he moved people when he hit them.

Sick to death of the belly aching about G-Mans defeat by Benn. Given that the ropes were initially holding Benn up, G-Man knocked Benn through the ropes after he was already knocked down. G-man connected with several punches when Benn was pretty much sat on his Ass. From rnd 2 onwards Benn bought it to G-Man like a man possessed and took his soul. Why cry about a nasty human being like G-Man getting beat at his own game which was basically being a ring bully. You don't put an effort in like what Benn did only to get it trashed by a bunch of cowardly keyboard warriors.

    ^^

So, in your opinion, ARE "punchers"?

If Julian Jackson - of all people - isn't, I NEED to see this list.

I'm asking you who do you class as a "puncher".

Because if you don't class JJ as a puncher, when it's common knowledge that he is one of, if not THE greatest puncher in boxing history, then this list is a must-see!

Just name who you're classing as punchers, please.

I suppose I'd say Jackson. Benn was a tremendous banger, but he was more "Tysonesque" in that he relied on forward motion and an almost crazed attacking style to complement his power. Jackson attacked more coolly, more confident (and more reliant, frankly) in his one-shot power. He had more snap and was more surgical about it, instead of tearing his foe to shreds the way Benn would.

P4P it's clearly Jackson, but I can see a real argument for Benn at 160 as he was huge for the weight, and Jackson was a small middleweight. McClellan looked a division bigger in the Jackson fights.
