He is so lucky he never got the fight he always wanted with Froch at 168ib, he would have been Bute'd

People on here actually believed he'd do froch at the time simply because he was unbeaten from feasting through cans.

hmmm lets see joes wassen fights were against nobodies, or injured, so no.

lacy and Kessler weren't wassen fights I believe, or was it just Kessler that wasn't wassen? they were the fights that made joe relevant at the age of 34, nothing else on his resume did.

so no, 1 or 2 fights don't make you a top1 or 2 great at smw.

Both Lacy and Kessler were Wassen fights. Calzaghe unifying titles and taking unbeaten scalps.

right. I thought joe had to break away from cowardly wassen for that fight.... even injured Kessler.

His style made for a good fight the other night and he showed he does belong in the mix at 175 - a real gutsy effort.

That said though, he needs to have more to his game than just sitting inside trying to out work his man and putting together a few flurries.

He's taking too many shots doing that and it'll be his downfall when he faces a banger (as seen against Kovalev). At the moment he's to one dimensional.

It's already been mentioned on this thread, but I agree in that I'd have like to have seen him stick with Adam Booth.

The OP is right. You don't need to be a boxing expert to see this. Just watch the fight.

Those pitter patter punches as well...what are they all about?

I really believe Clev needs to change the team around him (but doesn't look like he will). Played straight in his opponents hands and as the title says...took an unnecessary beating as a result.
