The late surge is what won him the fight although it was a close fight.

Calling a two-point card in favour of Fonfara BS is harsh, though. Your card is appropriate...but no more appropriate than a close card in favour of The Polish Price. :deal

I'll agree with that. He needed the last two rounds on my card to seal the deal, and he won 'em both, imo.

115-113 was fine but 116-112x2 was too much of a stretch for a match that should have been a draw IMO:conf

I scored the fight for Cleverly. I look forward to watching it for the first time later.

Fonfara clearly won in a close fight. people dont want to give Stevenson credit for his win over Fonfara, and it furthermore makes one of Kovalev's best wins look worse so that's a huge reason why they wont admit Fonfara won. I predicted this before the fight.

The guy Kovalev knocked out in 4 almost beat the guy who went toe to toe with Stevenson for 12 rounds. How does this make Kovalev look bad?

He didn't almost beat him, it was a clear Fonfara win. A better way to word it is, the guy Kovalev knocked out in 4 rounds gave Fonfara a good fight. It makes Kovalev look bad because his resume keeps looking worse. Fonfara will beat Pascal too, I hope that fight gets made. Let me guess you scored it for Cleverly right , you Kovalev fans are way too obvious.

I scored it a draw and it has nothing to do with Kovalev. I hadn't even thought about it until you mentioned. And I think the fight was a draw.

I give him credit for the win in hindsight. Going in the fight there was everything to suggest that Fonfara wasn't a worthy opponent.... But he proved his worth in the fight, as well as afterwards.
