Should Golovkin have been DQ'd?

    if Lemieux had faked being KO'd like Griffin and Dirrell he probably would have, but the rules on this are clear... the ref could have taken a point and even given Lemmy recovery time, but no DQ because Lemmy didn't fake or really getting KO'd

    There is a precedent there for this sort of thing though. It has happened before, and I don't see what was different between those and some other instances of this happening.

    Lemieux was able to continue so the obvious answer as stated is of course not. If he was unable to continue Golovkin would have been by default dq'd

    No DQ but point deduction would've been fine. This wasn't worse than Manny landed on Marquez when he was down.
