Ward vs Golovkin, who wins Seriously?

You can't really compare Golovkins situation with Ward to Pac's.

Pac moved up from light weight to welter to face De La Hoya for at least an $11 million purse, then a $12 million purse against Hatton and then a $22 million dollar purse against Cotto. If Ward and the others at super middle represented a similar payday Golovkin may have likely moved up an fought him, which is why Tom Loeffler is still open to a fight with Froch. Froch would be a huge payday and worth the risk, Ward wouldn't bring much to the table at all.

If Pac had more lucrative fights available at light weight and light welter he may never of moved all the way up to welter as its clearly not his natural weight. He moved up to welter because that where the money was.

I used to heavily favor Ward. Ward from the Dawson fight would've decisioned him easy. But Ward of today who knows. And Golovkin is showing us more and more with every fight. I don't think that we have ever seen him fight at 100%. The fight is pretty even IMAO. The X factors are:

1) the weight of the fight. If it is lets say 168, can Ward still make 168 comfortably.

2) Wards inactivity. I thought that Ward didn't look that great against Smith. Don't get me wrong he didn't struggle but he didn't seem all the sharp to me. HE hasn't been against a top fighter or even B level fighter for a while.

3) The battle of the jabs and distance control. Both fighters are geniuses at controlling the distance and offsetting the other fighter rhythm with their jabs. Whoever wins that technical battle will probably win the fight

4) Can Ward take GGG power

5) Can GGG prevent Ward from clinching him and fighting off the clinch where he seems unbeatable.

LSC was born in Mexico and you never said Thurman you said yanks thats plural.

Like i said its become a world sport now with an excellent fighter from Kazakhstan being a top draw in the US and you havent got a fighter who can match him.

Plus now we dont have to have the overrated US fighters rammed down our throat as the sport has become universal:good

 

Ward easily. Ward is the best P4P fighter in the world. Ward vs Triple G would be very similar to Mayweather vs Pacquiao.

But it'd be very surprised if Triple G ever sacked up and take that fight.

 

At this point, Golovkin has showed a lot if skills and ring IQ, and his jab is not only powerful but very fast, accurate and extended.

Golovkin via decision and possible corner stoppage.

But i'd be surprised if Ward ever grew a pair of ***** and decided to fight him at 168, let alone in his natural weight class. Ward doesn't have the ***** to fight fighters in their weight classes, they must come to him. I don't know why he's as much of a *****, but it is what it is.

 

Firstly you never named Thurman, but Thurman v Brook is a good fight.

Secondly LSC was born in Mexico, hes mexican, not a yank. Seems to me that the US is becoming the new Germany in that they havent got any good fighters hence the adoption of other countries fighters.

Lastly Ward last fought at light heavyweight, tell him to man up and fight Kovalev or Stevenson instead of trying to drag up a steller fighter making his own history in the 160 division.:hi:

 

Guys like GGG look great until they fight elite technicians like ward who can make him look average. There's a reason why GGG and his fans want nothing to do with ward.:deal if he was easy work they would be calling for the fight like they are for cotto and canelo both of which are not as good as ward. You can always call GGG fans bluff when you mention wards name.:rofl

 

Golovkin by murder. Ward doesn't have a chin, so he will try to wrestle, but Golovkin will keep him away.

 

What are you talking about GGG would get a career high pay day against ward and a fight with the best fighter in the sport. It's a win situation for him much like PAC when he fought oscar except he would get more props because ward is better than oscar was at that point.
