Sergiy Derevyanchenko is the Biggest Threat to Golovkin

    Derevyanchenko is an elite prospect being fast tracked. He has everything.. the skills, the power, the defence to really give GGG a close fight at least. He is the greatest WSB fighter ever he was almost unbeatable there.

    Khytrov, Murata and Quigley are top prospects too, Magomedov is good, Saunders has the boxing skills and discipline to win a few rounds against GGG,Eubank Jnr has power, his Dad's chin and confidence. But I feel Derevyanchenko would be the one that would really give him a fight.

    Agreed he has the most tools and would likely give him the most competitive fight.

    At the moment Magomedov looks more impressive than any of the other up and comers you named. Unlike you i don't see Saunders boxing or Eubanks 'power' (based on what?) giving GGG any sort of trouble. One sided beatings.

    P.S. Still think Korobov would be one of the most difficult opponents for him. GGG would win but wouldn't look his spectacular self.

    Why Derevyachenko and not Korobov then? He's not retired as far as I know.

    Let's see how he's recovered from the Lee KO.

    His best asset was his inside fighting, working his way in and staying there mixing his punches.

    He might be too gun shy to beat even Okeane after his KO loss to Lee. :think
