It's a feeling (or theory), which will be invalidated if and when Ward finally faces an unbeaten Kovalev, whose mystique has remained intact. Although, I suspect Stevenson will be targeted before Kovalev. That said, if the 'Ward Inactivity Saga' continues into 2016 and beyond, I will start to find it difficult to defend Ward's motives and actions. Right now, I can see why he'd want/need to go up a division, as well as take a little time to optimise his performance at LHW.
http://ringtv.craveonline.com/news/170843-mri-reveals-ward-beat-froch-with-a-broken-left-hand I've never heard anyone but yourself claim that the fight was close.
Oh but that picture and report is clearly fake because Bailey said he didn't break his hand. And what does everyone's else's opinion stand for? It's obviously irrelevant if bailey said the fight was close atsch
Very harsh. I think the Bute clash would have happened if Carl hadn't have crushed him. He fought Dawson who had speed and skills, and who was more proven than Bute and DeGale. It's just a shame that he was drained. But unless Ward knew for a fact that he'd be drained, you have to give him credit for taking the fight. I've debated this with Bailey numerous times. It made zero sense to duck Bute to then fight Dawson. Is there any evidence to support the theory that Ward's ducking DeGale?
There were 2 out of the 3 judges that scored it the same and I have seen another poster who wrote how watching live they scored wide for Ward but upon a 2nd watch without much sound scored the same as the 2 judges
Not in his first fight back. No. Hes had that fight now against Smith. Maybe another fight between? Still didnt S R Leonard go after Hagler after a big absence or V Klitschko go after the WBC champ after a big absense
Stop it Loudon. Dawson had no pedigree at SMW. None. Dawson wasnt more proven, he had a few popular names on his resume, but had lost to Pascal and many of the so called names on his resume was made up of facing fighters alot older. Dawson in his middle 20s won a LHW title against Adamek who had been life and death at LHW against Briggs He makes his first defence against Ruiz 2nd defence was Mendoza Then gets a disputed decision against a near 40 year old G Johnson Look below and consider Dawsons age at the time Hopkins 47 Hopkins 46 Diaconu 32 Pascal (he lost) Johnson 40 Tarver 40 Tarver 39 Johnson 39
