Hello how you all doing this may sound like a noob question. Do you guys find it harder to breathe wearing a mouthguard.
I also want to say I have a overbite would that affect wearing the mouthgaurd

You're supposed to breath through your nose. Breathing through you're mouth will cause you to fatigue faster. At least that's what Marvin Hagler said.

I wouldn't know, I train from my home so I don't use a mouth guard. I can't see how it would hurt to train with it in so by all means try it.

I'd advise to use the mouth-guard when training until you get used to it, I did find myself tiring quicker and found it a little harder to breathe when I first used a mouth guard (when sparring)- so I trained normally just added in the mouth guard, you eventually get used to it (whether it forces you to improve your breathing technique or you just get used to it, I think you tend to spend energy to bite down on the mouth guard initially aswell etc )

But after this you'll be fine, took a few months break recently (always do tbh lol) and when I started training again and I had no issues with the mouth guard

    Gl!

get a custom mouth guard. it should improve fit & breathing dramatically, and also makes you not sound like a re**** when talking with a mouth guard in. you shouldnt have drastic breathing problems with a guard in, otherwise maybe look at your fitness levels.

Most high quality double mouthguards have a open slot right in the center where you can get air thru the mouth without having to open your mouth.
