It's not a prediction, it's a straight up fact. 400k- 1 million views depending on how they hype the fight in the coming weeks. :yep
I'd be really happy if it did 1 million buys. It'd tell me that the public finally forgave the May/Pac ripoff.
How many PPV's would Ward have sold vs Lemiuex? :think I think Cotto-Canelo does 800k or so. I don't think it gets a million.
It has nothing to do with the Mayweather/Pac fight, it's personal between Mexico vs PR, it always has been. A high profile Mexico vs PR fight will always sell regardless.
They won't hit 1 mill without a lot of casuals watching the fight, sorry. So, yes, it has a lot of to do with the May/Pac.
I'll admit, seeing the initial buzz I thought it'd do something like 500k but I was a bit overexcited, once it settled I thought it'd do about 250k to 300k. 150k however doesn't really surprise that much (I assume these are official numbers as that's how it's talked about now).
Of course it doesn't, anyone who values money wouldn't have bought this farce of a card. And thankfully it bombed, or else we would have gotten more of this **** in the future :nod
Latino's, specifically MEXICANS make up the majority of the PPV buys in the U.S. It's how Mayweather gets millions of views per fight. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Boxing still THRIVED after the Trinidad-DLH, DLH-May, and Pac-Bradley matches. They're not going to stop watching boxing just because Pac faked an injury and got embarrassed.
I'd have bought it, honestly (had I lived in the states). I like both Gonzalez and GGG but for non-fans, I can see how it feels like a raw deal.
Instead of trying to get love from the Mexicans, GGG should pull a Mayweather and antagonize them instead lol. Sure fire money coming in, in no time.
How can it be good? You can be a fan of them but they were both in heavy mismatches, 17-1 odds. How can you like that? If Canelo fought Anthony Mundine, would you buy that ****?
Wow!! I really wish they would do a better job of teaching geography in school. Nicaragua is not an "island country in the Caribbean." Nicaragua is in Central America. It was one of the first sites that construction for a c**** between the Americas was being built. They ran out of money other investors took the project south to Panama which was part of Colombia at the time. Wow!
I wouldn't have bought PPV with GGG-Lemieux on it's own, with Roman G on the card against Viloria it makes it worthwhile for me. I mean I'm a fan of the two fighters, it's an exciting event for me, but this is me as a fan, if you're a neutral I fully get your position.
