Yeah I know, just peeped that, an honest mistake. Still doesn't change the fact that Gonzalez is God in Nicaragua. :deal The man is bigger than Trinidad there.
Nicaragua is a small country in South America with a very rich boxing tradition. I wouldn't be surprised if Gonzalez was the cause for half of those numbers.. :yep Gonzalez is HUGE there.
Idk...they loved Arguello a lot too but still let his murder be ruled a suicide. Idk how much that love us worth.
130k is about what I was expecting. Anything over +100k is excellent considering it was their first PPV.
Not exactly. There were tons of commercials in the States from what I heard and they were aiming for 300k to do well. 130k barely scratches the surface of what they were hoping to get. When May fought his first ppv, he did 350k with Gatti. That's a good start to see where you stand in the PPV world. 130k is nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets bummed back down to normal HBO tv :nod:thumbsup
I must admit I never expected the fight to sell many. Neither are too well known in the US. Still we all know who the man is and they can't avoid him for much longer and keep that belt.
No it's not anything less than 275K is pathetic. Especially when considering GGG fans make him out to be the second coming talking about his commercials with Apple and stuff. They said he would take over the sport but his first PPV is a cruel joke. I'm actually embarrassed for GGG fans.
