but ggg fans were talking about how this fight would do 300-500k buys, and it would do as much as berto/mayweather. are you saying they shouldnt have to eat their crow? if ggg did big numbers you know there will be thousands of posts about it.
I'm a GGG fan, didn't say a word about numbers... And honestly true fans don't care about them, only moronic trolls.
Just because you didnt mention anything doesn't mean a huge portion of this forum didnt. All I saw before the fight was how GGG would do the same numbers as Floyd/Berto and around 300-400k. You know for a fact that it did good numbers there will be loads of threads.
Who cares???? It was a weak card overall, GGG isn't incredibly popular in the states yet. PPV numbers don't have anything to do with his quality's as a fighter. There's bias on both sides, but sure seems to me that quite a few of the detractors in this thread have agendas of their own.
I dont think anyone is criticizing GGG for his skill set, it's just more of eat your crow you GGG fans for littering this forum with your 300-500k ppv predictions, and for hyping up this terrible event. I also made a thread before asking GGG fans to post proof that they bought the PPV, i knew something like this would happen. A lot of these GGG fans hyping this fight up didn't purchase the PPV themselves.
Well, I think it's common knowledge lot of people on forums don't order PPV these days.. A lot of the GGG fans are re****ed, and I can see why some people are turned off by them, but he really is a special kind of once in generation talent....... Some of the same people who hyping up Floyd/Berto were trashing this event, I find that odd.
Here's a post by the OP years ago that MVC found. PPV is more important You're right when you say lots of GGG fans are re****ed, PPV suddenly doesn't matter when it works against them . Also who was hyping berto/floyd besides MVC? MVC likes to troll, I rarely saw anyone hyping up the event, but literally 99%(obvious exaggerated), of the GGG fans on here were making bold predictions and hyping Lemieux/GGG up.
I rarely saw any of them hype it up besides MVC. I'm a mayweather fan and I said the fight was utter garbage, and to fight on free TV at least.
to sit here and read ggg fans talking about how little it matters now and "context" is sickening...yer all a bunch of sad jerkoffs....if ggg did 350k youd all be bragging about what a success it was....but it wasnt...so take some medicine....u guys lost....just like you cant take that pac actually lost ....his fans wanted to talk about what a ppv star he was gonna be and how hed be taking it over for floyd..... tell ggg to grow a set and fight someone like ward instead of fighting b level no hopers floyd in a victory lap against a c level opponent, off of a stinker against pac, in a fight that was barely advertised did 3x gggs big msg ppv debut...lol
Lemieux is B level? What are guys like Thurman, Brook, Lomachenko, Crawford, Postol, Beterbiev etc then? I'd consider those guys B- to B+ level for now, and guys like Lemieux, Rios etc C level.
b level at best...like b-/c...i was trying to be generous...this is their hero were talking about....they live vicariously through his record and image...trying to help these losers ...they need it
That's being way too generous. What do you rank GGG btw? I'd give him around an A-, can't rate him an A till he fights someone elite.
