Funny you ignoring about ggg was willing to fight either Chavez or Froch at 168 pounds but will only fight ward at 164 pounds. Ggg was willing to fight floyd at 152 pounds smh. Technicaly you are right , but bottom line no one can force Canelo like no one can force GGG to a fight they dont want , "orders" are for kids , bottom line both fights WONT happen due to one fighter dumb requests (which i think both GGG & Canelo`s are... dumb and unreasonable) , GGG just didnt want Ward @168 , im over it as a GGG fan , they couldve said 1 year from now , and have a tuneup or 2 but they didnt even consider it. they want the smaller Cotto or the lesser boxer Canelo , which is fine , but Canelo tries to leverage what he can same as GGG tried with ward , so WE ARE AGAINST IT or FOR IT in the global scope of things.

Chavez was way overrated and much weaker as even a 164 version of Ward, and Froch is a clearly weaker option as well.
PLUS, they both meant MASSIVE and I mean MASSIVE paydays instead of a very good payday against Ward.
Both are also the bigger draw, while Ward is a lesser one.

 

So basically, GGG wants easy fights against bums instead of competitive fights against the best. I understand. He's doing a very good job then.

Surely if this is a mandatory for canelo (assuming he wins) then he won't be able to make catch weight demands, but if he does and GGG refuses then canelo will be stripped surely?
