That's the impression the WBC have given but you never really know with them

Canelo is willing to fight Bummyluvkin.

Bummy has to play to Canelo's tune and accept the 155 pound catchweight, and 10 percent of the purse though.

I'm sure Bummy's trainer Sanchez will understand.

Team Canelo/GBP will have to pay money so Canelo can drain himself for this catchweight he needs so much.
    That's a real power move:rofl

Very disapointed with Canelo i thought he was a proud mexican warrior but it turns out hes just another punk ass hoe, the guy probably comes into the ring weighing as much as GGG does... I Expected something like this from Cotto(e) cause hes a kneecan and thats what knecans do but not from a guy with Aztec blood running in his veins. Hes a disgrace to all the great brave mexican fighters that came before him.

I've said it yesterday. Canelo or Cotto whoever wins the fight won't go fighting GGG. If WBC keeps his word and strips off the winner then GGG vs Turaeno Johnson will be for the vacant belt.

Canelo will do what most other guys do, wait until GGG is 36-37 and he will try to pull off a Cotto vs Martinez. Weight advantage argument might apply to Cotto but it's totally nonsense for Canelo who comes in the ring around the weight as GGG does (168-170). If they fought at 160 now, he'd outweigh GGG on fight night.

It will be a rather easy unification for GGG, of course if WBC keeps his word. Lineal status will become a joke at MW by being held by someone with no belt at the division.

WBC confirmed that Golovkin would be elevated to full WBC champion, if Cotto Canelo winnner is stripped.
GGG vs Tureano in February would be an IBF title defense

Heiland is currently #2 WBC, so should the situation pan out as described above that's most likely who GGG would face. WBC seem to manipulate their rankings quite freely though so who knows really

"My body isn't ready for 160."

Translation: my career is still too hot to be brutally KO'd in a year's time

If his body isn't ready for 160 then so be it, he shouldn't be forced to fight. So long as he is made to vacate the belt though. Really not for belts being fought for at catchweights

Robney, thanks for responding to that guy. Saved me some typing this morning.

Ray, also take note that Canelo weighs more than GGG in the ring. Ward probably has 10-15 pounds on GGG.
