it was a close fight with Kessler marginally on top until the injury took hold in round 6. after that calzaghe "volumed punched" against a maimed Kessler, to catch up and win a close decision. uninjured, kessler was on the way to marginalising calzaghes weaker boxing skills for a close decision in joes home turf. no wonder joe ran ingibbering fear from the rematch.
Did you see the fight? An injured Kessler was winning rounds until his injury compromised his ability and he was basically a sitting duck, getting hit with slaps the rest of the fight. Don't be mad at me that Slappy Joe's career is a joke. He could of fought Pavlik, Dawson, or Froch but choose 2 senior citizens, one of them being a shot to **** Jones Jr.. :rofl
Joe pretty much knew that in Cardiff they were going to give him the win whatever happened, if he just kept active. That's why he never once chased a fight in Denmark, and ran from a hint of a rematch by jettisoning the titles. but yeah up to round 6 Kessler was marginally on top. then puk! that hand went and he wasn't so hot, and calzaghe capitalised safe in the knowledge that whatever outcome he was going to be handed the win. They would have stopped the fight on injury if Kessler had remained up, and joe would have ran once again from kesslers demand for a rematch.
Kessler in his prime was a very good fighter. I was certain he was going to win the Super 6. Calzaghe was simply better, and that was Joe's best win.
This is a legit question. How did an injured Kessler lose his prime vs Calslappy? It's really that simple.
The man's best wins are against a 50 year old senior citizen in which he got a debatable SD win and Kessler who a green Ward beat more convincingly. I simply cannot give Slappy Joe credit.. he ducked that German bum who was also undefeated and IBF champ, ducked Dawson, Froch, and Pavlik.. Slappy Joe does get credit for being a great comedian though. How can you not watch his career highlights and laugh? :yep

It's ironic for someone who is such a grammar snob that your own punctuation is terrible and actually missed glaring grammatical errors in the sentences. I was asked how Calzaghe beat a prime Kessler, I responded by saying he adapted and provided an example of another fight where this occurred. The response of he didn't beat the prime out of him is nonsensical. It would also imply that he believes that Calzaghe did indeed "beat the prime out of Kessler" which again would be nonsensical as I believe he is arguing the opposite.
