Interesting notes about SNV power from himself (on Valuev's personal page in one of the Russian webcites):

That are his records in his peak:

    bench press - 375 lbs*1
    squats - 485 lbs*1

I thought SNV was stronger than that, he's 320 lbs and those weights are not too heavy for such a giant.

Also interested at Dustin Nichols stats :good

    Only 375 when you're 7 feet tall, 320?

I think I read somewhere that Shannon Briggs can bench 485 lbs.

    Lifting power =/= punching power.

Valuev, for his size, was quite featherfisted as well.

Terry Norris lifted about that much in his prime and the man was a natural 154 pounder.

    Yes. Not too much.

Here's what CHEF wrote about Wlad's benchpress (keep in mind Wlad is 80 lbs lighter than SNV)

I have seen him bench 355lbs 3 times. Not sure what his max is. When we start camp and I lift with him on bench, we start 135lbs 20 reps, 185lbs 20 reps, then 225lbs 20 reps (i usually **** out at 16-17 reps @ 225) then reverse it.

It is hard for a man with long fkin arms like Valuev to do well at bench press. It is much easier for a guy with T-Rex arms.

That's not a lot considering his size, but then he's not a power lifter and I doubt he ever focused much on strength work as with his size nobody was ever going to manhandle him in the ring.

Valuev always looked terribly out of shape.

I think he actually meant what weight he can lift with his little finger after sleepless night :smoke

This. Think of his Range of motion. This is not a 5'10" guy benching and squating.

Lastly, he most likely doesn't train for living weights

If he trained, he would be in at least in the mid 400's.
