So basically Canelo/Cotto would want to fight an old-drained version of GGG

How does he belong at MW? Was he a title holder there at one stage and moved down:huh

Just because he walks around at such and such weight between fights means nothing. He is too short and doesn't have the reach to be successful at MW.

Maidana is currently walking around at Heavy weight. Should he campaign at Cruiser?

Khan walks around around at LHW etc etc.

Lets get it right here. Canelo isn't challenging for any MW title.

He's fighting Cotto , another JMW for the rivalry , fame and legacy. Cotto just happens to hold the MW title. Do you think Canelo would bypass Cotto if he didn't hold the belt? The fight is what matters , not the belt.
He wouldn't be changeling for it if Cotto didn't have it.

Id rather the winner do the right thing after the fight and give up the belt because they have no interest ever in fighting Glovkin or at the MW limit.

That doesn't make Glovkin any better in this mess. He's just as bad , if not worse for chasing and hounding two blown up welters when he his a monster MW and no match for the other natural MWs in the division.

If he had greatness in him , he'd be chasing and hounding Ward for a fight , but he wanted no part of that. GGG is one of the biggest bully boys in thet sport - almost as bad as his K2 stable mate:tired...

Dino, Canelo has a longer reach than Golovkin.

Also, he's 5'9"...many MWs are right around that height.

Canelo weighs over 170 in the ring.

You are hilarious with these excuses.

That is perfectly fine. Then he needs to drop the MW belt and GTFO of that weight class.

Where would he fight? He clearly can not cut to 154 anymore. Maybe 155 could be the "Super Junior Middleweight" division?

If Golovkin started fighting at 162-164 catchweights would he get a pass from the same folks defending Canelo now because "GGG's too short and doesn't have enough reach" for SMW? :think

Now picture he also has the lineal title at SMW. ESB would break.

I agree that Cotto wants no part of GGG !!!

Canelo likely would step in the ring BUT...

OSCAR doesn't want his golden goose killed.

    Oscar keeps saying/ducking...

    Canelo will fight GGG sometime....

    but not NOW !!! ;)

    He don't have longer reach.

Many JMWs have been bigger than 5'9.

5'9 is way under the average height for a MW.

Eh, well according to boxrec, etc. Canelo's reach is 70.5" (179cm) and Golovkin's is 70" (178cm).

Way under? The average MW is like 5'10" or 5'11" man...why are you trying to protect Canelo from the middleweight division?

Well he apparently has an equal reach to Lemiux and thats clearly false since he visibly had a reach advantage.

Look at those arms. They're dam near down to his knees.

Canelo is a 5'9 midget. Too short for MW.

 yeah, probably best to just forgo the tape measure and use the internet pic eye test instead.

Speaking of Lemieux, he's 5'9 1/2" ...so is Hagler.

And thats why he has 3 losses in an extremely weak MW division.

Maybe you should propose they have "height classes" instead of going by weight? Bottom line, if he can't make 154 he's a damn middleweight.
