Damn you are bitter as **** over predicting Clev to KO Fonfara. You keep ****ting on him to anyone who will listen. The 154lb 19 year old Fonfara is a lot different fighter today from the Findley fight. If Pascal can get outboxed by Froch let me repeat OUTBOXED by Froch then I see no reason as to why Fonfara wouldn't have a OK chance of doing so also.
Yeah that was when he was kid but Pascal is levels above Findley and is capable of doing the same thing to him now, and wow Pascal lost to Froch so....Froch is a great fighter, no shame there. It has nothing to do with my pick, I'm just speaking the truth here, most on here said Fonfara would KO Clev or beat him with ease, meanwhile it turned out to be a war in which Clev was winning for the majority of the first half until his nose got broken and by the end you could make an argument the match ended up being a draw. Fonfara is brutally overrated on here because he took Stevenson's shots and still lost a wide UD and KO'd a chubby MW. He isn't the hardest guy in the world to outbox.
Gonzalez looks like a good fighter to me, after that performance I rate him higher rather than berate Pascal for it.
I agree Gonzalez is underrated and would probably give anyone at 175 hell. I think he did enough to beat Pascal and I would probably tip him to even beat Fonfara. With that said Pascal looked like **** in the fight he looked slow as I've ever seen him. Some of it was Gonzalez but IMO some of it was just Pascal looking old to. I pray that Pascal doesn't get in the ring with Kovalev again I really fear for his safety if he does. I never saw this Fonfara fight you posted I'll will check it out but what others are saying it was a green Fonfara so I don't know how much stock you can really put into it.
I look forward to seeing him in the ring again soon. I don't think that loss hurt his chances of being in with the top guys at 175 he put on a good show and I'm sure the networks will want him back on again.
I think a lot of that had to do with Pascal returning too quickly after the Kovalev beating and I agree he looked terrible early in the fight but after a few rounds got into his rhythm and slightly outworked him down the stretch it was a close fight that despite my scorecard could have obviously gone either way. As far as the Findley KO Fonfara was very young and inexperienced but he's still easy as hell to hit and a well rested Pascal is easily capable of at least outpointing in the same fashion and maybe even a late KO, Fonfara is far too open to some of the bombs Pascal is so fond of throwing.
Do you have any fighters from not from Poland that you're this passionate about? Calm your ass down I like Fonfara, I even did a thread praising him a few months ago, but he's limited I'm only being honest and fair in my assessment get your panties out of a bunch.:good
huh?like with your BS about karpency broken arms and outboxing fonfara ****.wouldnt have no prob if you honest and fair..you just spawn big BS thats all.there was only ONE fighter in that fight who suffered serious injury, and it wasnt karpency.watch fight before post BS
If Kovalev had beaten Fonfara rather than Stevenson he'd be proclaiming him a top 3 LHW right now. His agenda is embarrassingly transparent.
He quit because of a shoulder injury in the corner. Dispute that. And after the Fonfara KD's he came back and did quite well and was winning quite a few of the rounds Tommy was leading on 2 of the scorecards. Here everyone can take a look and make up their own mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4EeaC3fMGk
Well Stevenson was KD'd and did go life and death late in the match against a guy who wasn't able to stop Doudou Ngumbo who Mohammedi stopped.:rofl
So this was all about trying to convince people that Stevenson's best win beats Kovalev's second best win? Nice try. Like it or not, Pascal is a better and more accomplished fighter than Fonfara and he also holds a win over Stevenson's other best win.
Not at all but I guess you could say this thread has proved there isn't much between the 2 wins, if anything people see Fonfara as the better scalp. Fonfara isn't Stevensons best win anyway, that would be Dawson who beat Kovalevs best win if you wanna play that game
