Both fighters have very similar dimensions... Same height and reach for the most part. I think Joe would need to rely on his work rate and iron chin to win this one... I think it would be close though. I voted yes cause for some reason I thought Joe was much bigger, but he really wasn't that much larger than SRR...

Robinson would lose a decision to prime Calzaghe at 168.

Calzaghe is too big and too good.. Calzaghe U15, U12 doesn't really matter.. Joe doesn't get tired.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Prime 'Zaggers Veit'd Robinson.

Veit'd:good Viet, a criminally underrated fighter..6'4 with a huge reach.

It's a pity he's not around today. Prime Veit would rule in the SMW divison. I can see Veit outboxing both Ward and Froch.

It's also a pity that Joe ruined him with that brutal 1st round KO.

Viet was undefeated when he came face to face with destiny.

This forum has some of the biggest idiots I've ever read. Calzaghe was damn good but Sugar Ray Robinson is regarded by many as the best boxer of all time. This forum must be full of white Brits.

And did somebody really mention him in the same sentence as Jeff Lacy? Did I really see that?

Jeff Lacy was well on his way to being the GOAT before Calzaghe derailed him.

Pure speculation. He was a hype job, the best fighter he beat prior to Calzaghe was Omar Sheika, that tells you all you need to know.

Mentioning him in the same sentence as Sugar Ray Robinson is a travesty out of the pits of Hell. Its like comparing Shannon Briggs to Joe Louis.

True, SRR is considered by many to be the GOAT, but he was also a WW. Calzaghe is too big. Could PAC beat Wlad?
