Prince Patel insults former world champion Barry Jones live on Boxnation

He never got schooled in any of the fights, they were close Charlie is better but don't get it twisted they were close fights.

 

Well I was at a few of them and he was totally bamboozled by Charlie in the ones I attended. So as someone was there, I can tell you they were clear cut. My friends brother often fought at nationals with Repton. He would have schooled Patel too IMO, he was a really good prospect but unfortunately he's had shoulder problems which have limited his progress and mean he'll prob have to abandon the ideas of a pro career. A huge shame really.

There are levels to this and Patel well... Also what are these titles you're on about him winning?

Chris Ali. He was/is a very talented but injury plagued amateur. He's still very young now but I think it'd be tough for him to come back from his latest shoulder injury.

He used to school Lucien Reid - now on Matchroom - on a regularl basis. Really is a massive shame he never got the chance to build the momentum his skills deserved.

 

He was correct. No one remembers or talks about Barry Jones. No one, not even on this forum. Probably the first time I've seen his name mentioned here in a thread title.

Because people start threads about him on here and boxrec and dicuss him and raise his profile and make people want to watch him.

 

Mate I don't mean to be horrible to your mate Ali but Reid and Patel use to both get the better of him at Repton. tony Burns would even tell you that

He most certainly wouldn't. Reid change weight classes because Chris kept beating him. Ask Tony and he'll tell you that's why. I know Lucien as well and he wouldn't deny it either everybody knows locally. He lost whenever he tried to jump in there with him. I saw this with my own eyes.

Again, back to the shoulder problems. They've really hampered him. He was/is very well thought of at Repton and was being considered for the development/podium squad after beating a few of the GB boys. His shoulder then went again.

Not seen him in against Patel but fully healthy would pick him every day of the week. Unfortunately that's seldom been the case long enough to build any type of momentum up.

 

How could reid change weight class when he was the same weight class from 2010-2014 and Ali quit boxing over two years ago, even moving up to 60kg at one point and reid was 54. No sense

 

you have stories that last a lot longer than 2011, you lasted long in boxing didnt you ***** u had a few fights obviously got used as a punch bag and quit like the bottle job u are to forever just talk about other london fighters all the time. I never say this about any fighter but I really cant wait until this guys gets beat. This is one guy in boxing that I find incredibly unbearable, he is a two fight novice but talks as though he is a multi weight world champion, I don't mind people talking **** as long as they have done something worthy of talking about, like I was never a fan of Fury but now he backs up his talk I find it more bearable.
