    Nope!
No reason to criticize a fighter for staying put at juniormiddleweight. If Canelo campaigns and takes fights at 160 lbs and avoids GGG while fighting for a paper title, that's another thing, but lets wait till that happens before criticizing.

I'm one that would love to see Ward fight Kovalev, that's probably the one matchup I'd like to see more than any other fight, but I wont criticize Ward for not fighting Kovalev if he stays put at 168 lbs.
If Ward takes a few fights at 175 and doesn't look to fight Kovalev, then I have full right to call him a ducker and afraid of the real champion at 175 lbs.

Cottoweight (154,5) and Caneloweight (155). I'm surprised they aren't doing a catchweight for the title and meeting at 154,75.

Instead of begging for welterweights to fight him, Little g should be begging for the winner of Jacobs-Quillin, but those are real MWs.

Sure, he can drop the belt and keep fighting at 155. No problem with me. Not sure if his mexican fans would like such behavior.

    Golovkin Promoter response:

"We have a lot of respect for Canelo. We just have to wait for Nov 21 and see how it plays out." Basically, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Abel Sanchez was slightly more candid:

"It's the 160lb title, Canelo can run scared if he doesnt want to defend it, if he wins."

You can quit telling that Ward lie because everybody knows GGG don't want none.

Actually I think that would weigh harder on Canelo's mind than Cotto. Cotto is at the end of his career and really doesn't care if he's viewed as blatantly ducking.

canelo does not need ggg and if the fight isn't at 155 why should canelo jump straight to 160 to fight at a weight he has never fought at? if ggg wants the payday he can come down to 155 and stop hiding at the 160lb ghost town dvision he is in!!!

golovkin wouldn't be refusing to defend the smw belt at the smw limit.
