33 is middle of prime. If he keeps up his active pace yes he can but I have a feeling after he unifies he'll slow to two fights a year. He is going to need a rival and right now he has none. At least a perceived rival.

What Durability? Have you seen any of his matches? GGG simply walks through his opponents best shots without flinching.

Better stated is this. He has never been down in over 360 pro and amateur fights, and his style is an aggressive one, meaning he's forcing the action, not covering up or using his legs to avoid it.

Which hard punchers has Golovkin beaten?

    I'll ask again.

Who has beat on him to prompt these claims about durability, and which punchers have chin-checked him to make your claim that he has one of the best chins in boxing history anything but ludicrous?

GGG is a prime example of how bad fighters look good against even ****tier opponents.

His chin looks pretty sound to me.

Mendoza might be going a bit over the top here, and we don't know how he'll stand up to a seriously hard shot.

But he had absolutely no respect for Murray's punches (Murry admittedly not being heavy handed) and he KO'd Geale about half a second after taking a flush shot to the jaw, all in the same motion.

    People talk about his power.

I believe his chin is more of an asset.

We won't know till he gets properly tagged by a proper banger.

    "a bit over the top"?

He's described Golovkin's chin as the "best in history" at this weight.

His iron chin is based off taking a few shots from a feather duster who had a whopping 6 KO's to his name.

And because of the Stevens fight in which he took no flush blows.

He threw 'Mexican style ' out the window in front of Lemieux- a very middle of the road puncher.

The bizarre thing about this thread is the absence of Hopkins, especially given the criteria. He's neck and neck with Hagler on all counts. Jones is the only guy listed who would clearly beat him.

No Hopkins and GGG at #5:rofl

He doesn't rank above Arthur Abraham in my book.

12 defences of the IBF MW Title - no mickey mouse regular paper straps.

GGG is definitely not packing glass by any means but it's clearly too soon to say if he has an iron chin. I have a feeling we will never know unless he gets into wars with Quillin and Jacobs who can actually bang. Despite what a lot think.

Watch rounds 5 and 6 from his last fight vs a puncher! Lemieux can punch and landed flush shots. GGG wasn't bothered. In other fights when his opponent lands their best he walks though it and continues to press it, McGrain.

You do not see him losing balance, covering up, retreating, or clinching. Fighters do this when they are hurt!

GGG has never been down in 350 plus fights! That does not happen unless you have an iron chin.

What else do you need to see?!

Well, for example, I know that Jake LaMotta had one of the greatest chins of all time because I saw him take about 100 flush power punches from one of the greatest punchers of all time. I know **** Tiger had a great chin because he got hit by guys like Fernandez and Carter. You know, extremely hard, noted punchers, who had knocked out contenders. I know Eubank had a great chin because he took multiple flush bombs from top puncher Nigel Benn.

Golovkin hasn't done anything even vaguely approaching any of this. Yes, his chin is almost certainly very good, but you have claimed it is one of the best of all time. You've claimed his chin is as good as LaMotta and Toney and Hagler.

Now what i'm asking is: who was his Tommy Hearns? And you're answering Lemieux who hardly hit him at all by the way. Surely you know this is preposterous?

Looks like McGrain didn't acknowledge any points, lol

its true Mendoza, to say his chin is as good as Hagler at this point is still a bit much, its too early.
