Ali is known for speed, movement, jab, straight right and basically being larger than the sport. How many boxers since have attempted to imitate Ali.

Foreman is known for huge power and devastating KOs of other ATG fighters

Lennox Lewis is known for facing and defeating several top fighters of his era as well as ATGs like Holyfield and Tyson.

Vlad Klitscho is known for dominating in a extremely weak era and using his number 1 asset, size to fight as a SHW and defeat medicre HW competition.
    Who imitates Vlad? No one.
What has Vlad contributed to the sport? Nothing but being a placeholder.
In his career, how many ATGs has Vlad faced? None
Vlad will make it into the HOF, but an ATG. No way. His career is medicre at best and all he can really show is a longevity stat composed of 10 years of historically weak opposition.

Yet, you probably have Tyson as an ATG, even though Klitschko's quality of opposition was better and a much much much longer reign.

You may not know this, but guess how many ATG former champions Tyson defeated?
Now, how many has Vlad faced and defeated?

See, it's very simple. The fastest path to being an ATG is to face and defeat ATGs. :yep

It's very simple... Dominating an era, and beating lots of good fighters over a long period of time can also make you an ATG....

He beat an old Larry Holmes and a blown up LHW ATG Michael Spinks. An even surer fire way to becoming an ATG is to do something second only to one of the greatest to ever do it.

    True.
Now, how many fat, old, washed up, or cripple ATGs has Vlad faced in his very long career?

Vlad holds the record for beating 10 years of bums, but unfortunate for him, that is no qualification for ATG status.

I mean, Joe Louis fought that low caliber of opponent at a rate of one per month, or 12 in 1 year for his Bum-Of-The-Month phase.
Yet Vlad only fights 2-3 bums per year, and he beat most of them due to his size advantage being a SHW Vs HWs. :yep

The record books will still show HW Title defences:
    1. Joe Louis
    2. Wladimir Klitschko

And that may even change with Wlad still being active.

ATG status Signed, Sealed and Delivered.

Your assessment of his quality of opposition became irrelevant with that statement.

No one has suggested that Wilder is an ATG.
So far, unlike Vlad fans, Wilder fans haven't resorted to being cheats to elevate him beyond reality.:rofl

Wilder fans think he's the savior of the HW division, as well as the next big thing

They defend his bum crushing, and horrible record....

And dominating 2 eras definitely makes you an ATG.

It's been that long. Most of his last generation of challengers either hadn't turned pro or had just turned professional when he knocked Byrd out.

I'll ask the same question...for those who don't think he's an ATG, show me 10 fighters who go through his record 64-3 or better. No redirection. Just names.

True... One thing people overlook when factoring in "greatness" is work ethic... Talent can only take you so far if your work ethic is lacking, look at what happened to Bowe. The work ethic of the Klitschkos is rivaled by very few, and is a big part on why they were on top of the sport for song long in addition to their skills. Slander this era all of you want... There are still plenty of good, and competent heavyweights and I don't care who you are, if you aren't giving it 100% eventually someone who's good will catch you on a bad night and beat you... It takes something special to dominate ANY modern era of boxing, at any weight class for as long as Wlad has. If that isn't greatness then I don't know what is. It's becoming harder and harder to deny his status as a top 10 HW all time.
