The sad/funny thing is, there will be plenty of idiots who actually think she could beat him.

Hells no ... Golovkin is not a pure boxer iirc he wrestled etc in Khazakstan.

I think featherfist floyd is about the limit of who she might be able to handle, and even there we had a huge discussion.

In other news, she finds him really cute and I'll bet she'd "take him down", nudge nudge wink wink

In street clothes and getting that close means you are likely to get punched. If u listen to mma stars who have had real fights they stay on their feet why ? Because it gives u an option to run away. Prob with grappling and wrestling is you are close enough to an opponent for them to bite, eye gouge and any use number of dirty tricks. And remember if we are talking about a boxer chances are he was brought up in a rough area and learned how to fight in the street.
And rousey is a woman and the strength difference is huge. I dont care about gym stories of her beating huge men etc as they all start with once upon a time

Staying on the feet is a good thing, I agree. Judo, however, teaches you balance and how to do exactly that. It also teaches you how to throw a guy, and I promise you that even the basic level techniques like Ogoshi are devastating if you don't know them and get slammed straight onto your back. Biting is a waste of time unless the guy tries to fishhook you (or you can bite his nose) and eye gouges are surprisingly difficult to get right, in my experience.

It might help against the average bum on the street.

But if you got into a confrontation with a boxer and stepped inside their firing zone you can and would be put to sleep.

Especially against someone like a Golovkin or Kovalev.

And secondly, regardless of how experienced Rousey is in her field, what makes yu think she could physcialy overpower someone like Golovkin?

Judo isn't some sort of magic power where you become superhuman and can just toss anyone about.

Rousey wouldn't even do anything to Golovkin in the clinch if she did somehow miraculously manage to get hold of him. He has wrestled as a youngster and there is a video of him grappling with Denis Grachev and giving him all he could handle. Now Denis Grachev is 6ft 1" and walks around at over 190lbs, not some woman who fights at 135lbs.
