stracey was crippled by body punches and green had told palomino in round 10 that he couldn't punch.
Oh dear, those 2 short punches that ko'd Green were out of this world.

Started watching the rematch a couple weeks ago. Great fight and Palomino really takes over around round 6, but I was taken aback by how cleanly Muniz landed some of his leads (Palomino didn't really have good defensive reflexes--I thought the same thing in his fights against Duran and Benitez). Also surprised by how many sharp, clean punches and combinations Palomino landed on Muniz (who showed no head movement and dropped his hands when he got tired) in several rounds without dropping him.

What did you think of palomino and muniz compared to today's welters
At that, ime we had hearns, Leonard, benitez, cueves as well as palomino, muniz, Andy price green and stracey
The top 3 fought one another with Duran waiting in the wings.

That was a stacked era with how many HOFers-3/4 of the Fab 4 plus Benitez? I dont think these best, Manny and Floyd, even from 3 years ago have a shot against that Big 4. As far as the rest are concerned: Maidana, Brook, Thurman etc, the 2nd 5 you mentioned: Pipino, Palomino, Muniz, Price, Green and Stracey stack up quite favorably with that group.
