Main reason Vlad has made so many defences over many years is that his rein coincided with a huge lack of talent and depth in the HW division fighters that would have possibly beaten him like Mercer where completely shot when Vlad fought him others like Peter would not have got in the top ten in the past he is the type of fighter Bruno knocked out in the early 80s on BBC sports night never to be heard of again .making lots defences is one thing making them against fighters who could not provide decent sparing for the likes of lewis Tyson or foreman or a number of other HWeights is anthougher.because he fights in Germany the public seem to turn up whoever he is fighting this would not happen in the UK or the US the public would see that this was a rip off and shows wouldn't make money forcing Vlad to fight in the states and possibly take more risk also one of the marks of a ATG

You didn't prove anything, I corrected myself. I said consecutive which in fact he only had 18, that still puts him at 3, and he's active. I go edit out the word consecutive, and it says 23 defenses which puts him second. Now you look like a dumb @$$. See how that works. I admitted my mistake, however. It still made my point no less valid. At 18 consecutive making him 3rd, 23 making second. Does in fact punch his ticket. And I stand by my shame on you for saying Holmes was not an ATG for his 20 consecutive defenses. It's the Heavyweight division. A fighter's ATG status does not necessarily need to wait until he retires. Once, he has reached a certain milestone he is going to do nothing but add to that legacy. Nothing can take that away. A fighter like GGG, yes you would be right he has the stuff, but nothing has been accomplished to this point. So a wait and see is needed. For Wlad, who is the second longest reigning Heavyweight Champ 3rd most in consecutive defenses. That's part of record now. His ticket is punched. He is only adding to that legacy.
