Nigel Benn post-McClellan was terrible. His balance, timing and coordination (and speech) were gone, his punches often depressingly out of range. He actually had a lot of scar tissue on the brain that showed up on x-ray post-McClellan.

I'll always dispute that claim about Jones. The reason is that he looked like he was back to his old self against Tarver for the first round and a half before Tarver drilled him with the same punch Del Valle did. Tarver beat a few other guys with that punch too. It could've happened at any point in his career. We don't really know if Roy lost his legs because the fight ended so early. After that, Roy lost his confidence and was done.
