Because boxing today is full of duckers that are milikng their belts, so even with 4 years out of top level fights he still has one of the best resumes! While there are guys like Wilder and Brook fighting **** fights for their belts and C level fighters all of their careers you better believe real fans will appreciate guys like Ward!

Ward vs GGG would have been a garbage fight not worth the trouble for GGG he so many other better options at 160. And Ward game plan to fight GGG would be lunge inward with your head and a punch then clinch. He would do that all night. The fight would be a huge stinker and who knows what the judges might score. Not to mention this guy who is all gung ho about fighting GGG at 168 then turns around and signs a fight deal for 175 because he knew he couldn't make that weight even if it was 2014 still.

 

Because not everyone is a fan of fighters for the same reason you are.
