The reality is that any world class heavyweight can put together a string of quick knockouts against tomato cans.

These statistics that you quote such as knockout percentage, and number of knockouts coming within n rounds, don’t really tell us anything.

How many genuinely would class fighters did Vitally Klitschko score quick knockouts over?

You could argue for Kirk Johnson, and Herbie Hide I guess, but otherwise we are seeing much more of an attrition based knockout artist.

Pound for pound I would go for Toney in a heartbeat, but Machen is clearly the better heavyweight contender.

I also consider Vitali Klitschko primarily an attrition puncher ... but then again, I didn't realise that he'd taken care of business so quickly so many times. If you look at his technique he is usually pretty conservative, and rarely "drops the hammer" so to speak.

Then again, this is ignoring the huge size advantage that he often enjoys.

Maybe what we are seeing is the effect that a 20-30lb ripped muscle weight advantage actually has!

To be fair, I think that a lot of the great attrition punchers of history hit a lot harder than people assume. For this reason they are likely to be very effective against B and C level opposition. Against A level opposition, their strategy is to make incremental damage inevitable, rather than to make total damage probable.

Vitali beat on an old Shannon Briggs all night, hitting him flush with shots and he couldn't even floor him.
Compare that with what Lennox Lewis did to a prime Briggs ,flooring him 3 times in the 5 rds the fight lasted.
Vitali is not a huge puncher.

    Don't forget Danny Williams.

The guy an old Tyson nearly had out of there in one round, whereas Vitali took 8 rounds.

vitali aint no big puncher, but hes pretty tough chinwise, I think that's what has allowed him to be competive.

like a white Oliver MCall, though not as tough. yeah that's what his nickname should be, "white Mcall"

which is why vitali got stopped by old, lewis but mcal stopped prime lewis.

no. h2h McCall is better. vitali has better longevity, why cant you be happy with the truth and facts, instead of inventing lies. You should praise people for what they do, not what you imagine they do.

Mcall and Vitali have one mutual opponent to my knowledge.

    Lennox Lewis.

Guess who knocked him the **** out

    Sadly you are wrong.

Orlin Norris, who beat McCall, was KTFO in the first round by Vitali.

Now where does that leave us?

it leaves you clutching at straws as usual, but non existent straws this time. mcall fought him when he was 25? Vitali dared to fight Orlin only at shot2shyte age of 36 when Norris stood no chance against shytes like brian neilsen, never mind vits.

thus disproving what you meant to prove....yup

    Kliturd
    self
    destructs
    once
    again

what I want to know is why do you choose to self destruct like this?

no joyfully for him, hes right.

orlin shot2shyte nobody 11 years later when vitali dared fight him, and doesn't qualify as even a semi-prime opponent.
