Ward won the S6. Ward is fast, good on the outside and great on the inside. Problem is he always fight on the inside if his opponent has a decent pop.

Against Kessler and Froch (the two most entertaining Ward fights in the S6) he beat them to the first punch, jumped in and roughed them up on the inside.

Against Green and AA he just hugged the life out of them for 12 rounds... The Green fight is probably the most boring high profile fight I have ever watched.

The Bika fight was one big foulfest...

Yes Ward won the S6 and he generated some good paydays, but he didn't do himself any favors. He could have been the new P4P king had hos style been more pleasant on the eye (he has/had the talent no doubt)

I've often wondered why he chose to fight like he did in the S6...

Great accomplishment. It's a shame that winning the crown turned him into a diva.

Amazing that Ward fought and beat everyone in the Super6 with one arm. A two armed Ward would have simply blown everyone away in a more dramatic fashion. :yep

People who DKSAB ignore the fact that Ward underwent surgery for his arm, went through rehabilitation, and then had legal issues very similar to those that kept David Tua out of the mix for 2 years.

Casual boxing fans have to be some of the dumbest basterds of all sports spectators.:hi:

What surgery??? Are you telling me that Ward fought with one hand for four years?

His arm only seemed to bother him in the Froch fight... It was fine when he hugged Green for 12 full rounds?

What, you blind, or didn't you notice Ward fight the whole tournament with just his left arm. Left jabs and left hooks won Ward the tournament. Throughout the whole tournament Ward only threw about 2 dozen right hands.
Ward would probably beat GiGi with one arm tied behind his back. :smoke

In the clinch is when he threw short right uppercuts. The right arm seemed to be ok as long as he didn't extend it. Ask Kessler. It made him cry and complain that the Danish never learned about inside fighting. :yep

Kessler cried because of multiple deliberate head butts by Ward.

As I said earlier Ward is great at fighting on the inside. If his hold, hit, hold, hold, hit, hold tactic is still of the same standard he will manhandle Kovalev...

On the other hand Kovalev is great at keeping the right distance. See the Hopkins fight. I think it will be an awesome match up. I'm favoring Kovalev because of his size and activity. I don't believe the Ward from the Dawson fight is still there. He killed such an amazing momentum he had after that fight.

Funny how so many people thought the one dimensional Kessler would in the tournament.
