Why didn't Ward's team make a counter offer? 60/40 at 166? That would have really made team GGG look like duckers. Ward could say we tried multiple counter offers but it failed.
154 is significantly more competitive? do you mean, maybe, that the names are better known? Because I do not see a difference in skill that most people bring up. 154 has no genuine stars, and had GGG been campaigning there, the argument would be made that 154 is a dead division. 168 has Direll, Jack and what? that's about it.
Not trying to talk about those two MMA guys in a boxing forum, but find it funny that you use May/Pac as an example. Last time Cyborg tested positive for steroids was three years ago. So I don't think that's an issue. Whether you like it or not Cyborg is still considered the best or second best female MMA fighter today. We won't know until they fight each other. Now lets talk about the hypocrisy. Ronda uses the steroids excuse to avoid Cyborg and gets praise. But that was 2011. Ronda is making lots of money fighting nobodies and bragging on how she can beat guys twice her size, yet she wont fight Cyborg, which is only 5lbs heavier. And she dare's to say Floyd asked for testing to avoid the fighting Pac. At least all Floyd did was ask for better testing but Ronda wont even try to make the fight. She don't want to loose that "0". Anyways that steroid excuse don't hold too much water anymore. That was 2011. Make the fight, and we will see who is the best. Done talking about MMA fighters. It seem GGG fans try to generate fake hate for him.. Then they say dumb things like people are racist against him because he's white athlete and not American.. They try to put people against him by saying things like he'll beat all ATGs and how he's the best of all time.. Then they ask why people hate him.. They say if you want him to fight Ward you hate him, so I guess there is a lot of GGG haters.. Even his fans and fans of the sport...
