Signatures On a contract would be fairly definite though...that's usually the point of no return.
We should be glad quigg stopped Kiko the way he did, because that in a way, put new life into a fight that was faltering. In a way it resuscitated a fight that was fast losing appeal.

 

You could also argue that we should be glad Frampton got dropped twice in his fight on the very same night. IMO that showed a vulnerability he has which also makes the Quigg fight more interesting.

Saying that, I still think Frampton is far better than Quigg. It just proved to me that he's only human after all :good

I was going to make that very point about Carl's last fight. It helped too. But I doubt it will do quigg any good...they were touchdowns more than knockdowns and will be just the wake up call Carl needed to avoid complacency against quigg. It's not as if quigg has a history of big ko wins. I doubt he will be able to reproduce it anytime soon.

 

Anyone hear of this fella Paddy Irwin that made his debut on the Monster Brawl card??

 

From the little I've read, he was born in Athlone, now resides in Quincy MA and owns a construction business.

He looked a tidy stalking cross/RH lead specialist in his debut last night. He's long and throws very straight and crisp down the middle with big power but his speed is only slightly over average, with a considerable loss of precision when he allows himself to get backed up.

 

I was just getting back from a beer run when his bout started, else I'd have made a point to be ready to get footage on my phone.

 

How did he win?

Headliner versus a TBA jaysus thats not great,
The irish fights will both be of lower standard but close bouts in my opinion,Byrne is talented but not dedicated Mc Donagh seems to be the opposite,
Sweeney for me is slightly fresher that the tougher Timms at the minute and that may be enough to reverse the last decision,

 

the odds will no doubt appear on PP soon enough this week... the problem is Sweeney hasn't fought in 2 years and is naturally the smaller man.... byrne has been a disappointment after the early promise he showed so could well be outworked by mcdonagh:good
