He was retired for a year came back and reclaimed his throne with a dominating victory over Pacquaio conquerer JMM. Mosely went from 135 to beat oscar, why couldnt JMM been given the same chance as Mosely? Skills pay the bills, Thats why.

From 2007 to present. He took a year + a 1/2 off from the Hatton fight, came back to dominate JMM then fought actively since then. Pac from 08 to 10 fought Diaz, De La Hoya,Hatton, Cotto{cw} Clottey, Margarito.. Grounds for p4p status, but Floyd beat JMM, and lineal WW champ Mosely to regain the spot from Pac imo.

the only boxer with a retroactive tue for supposedly the greatest fight of his career. it seems he hid something that enhanced his defensive ability more. the one, who talked about cleaning up the sport and fighting on even playing field. he does not have a career defining win at least to prove his worth. he just had the advantage of speed that he had to maintain even at his older years.

I could see it that same way, but truth is hes fought the same way since 98 against bigger and stronger fighters with no problem or no decline in skill or anything. Do i think Floyd could have taken PEDS? MYBE, BUT IT IS UNPROVEN.dESPITE what you may think.

Fact is, he always fought the best when they were on their way out. Hence no career-defining win. The Pacman fight was meh when it actually happened - it was several years too late.

Well, Its close to it.. He was out for 20 months out of the 8 Year span i calculated so if you round it up, its equivalent to 8 years. More then any other ative WW from that time period including manny Pacquaio.

Of course of the layoff, and when he was back he wasn't always the #1 either.
