Believe it or not, I went for Hatton against Mayweather and thought he would bully floyd to a Win. Unfortunately Floyd shut me up as much as he has shuten me up when going against him.ALA Canelo. But one thing is for certain and that is theres only 1 Ricky Hatton, and hes more beloved then Calzaghe and Hamed. Thoughts?

I don't think Hatton would have won anyway, but he was fighting 2 men that night. One of the most biased refereeing performances I've witnessed.

you said the most beloved fighter from England not the uk

hamed wasn't loved though, he was a way better fighter than hatton and exciting but not loved

if its the whole of the uk calzaghe would be the most loved

Exactly this for me. Floyd did not need any favours in defeating Ricky Hatton but got favours anyway from a shocking Cortez.

Hatton was and still is well loved in the UK. His fighting style and balooning between fights was always guna mean he would have a short career but his super aggressive style and his want to fight the very very best played straight in the to the hearts of British boxing fans.

And he was every bit the local northern bloke from down the street from amatuer to the end of his career, anothing thing Brits love, we dont like huge ego,s and arrogance.
