Prime Prince Naseem Hamed VS Prime Erik Morales at 126, Who wins?

Naz for me, coz morales was easier to hit even though he had a good chin. Prime Naz beats a prime morales, but any morales v the Barrera Naz wins.

 

Hamed fans most deluded ever, its not Barrera Naz its Naz Naz its just how he looks vs ATG fighter...huge difference fighting good fighters and ATGs...

 

Not as deluded as some, if you know anything about boxing there are interviews from people who Naz dumped before the Barrera fight including his trainer ingle and promoter ******, who both said they were told that Naz wasn't right and didn't train for the fight, wanted to pull out but his brothers and new advisors said no fight and take the money. P.s Barrera got schooled by Khan so huge difference fighting good fighters and all time greats hay!

 

When one guy, who is a HOF'er, trains for the fight of his life and the other guy is more concerned about his picture on the billboard. Don't be surprised if the future HOF'er wins.. Hamed didn't train proper. And still he lost 7-4-1

 

Man he was 27 years old and in the biggest fight of his life.

Just face it. Hamed got tooled about hard as you can get.

 

Morales was rangier and an even better outside boxer than Barrera. He has the jab and distance to toy with Hamed. Plus he had a legendary chin, so even if he's hurt or knocked down likely wouldn't be knocked out. Prime Hamed's speed more than power would give him a chance to land if Morales overconfidently steps in to land, but more likely is Hamed basically folds when he gets behind and can't think his way to a plan b.

 

After loss talk like that is often, fight and events prior to the fight are exactly why Hamed is not even close to being ATG, MAB had higher ring IQ and IQ in general, Hamed was dumb enough to believe he will brawl it will be easy night for him Fact is he stepped up and got beaten EASY, what fight makes you feel he can beat ATG fighters? Couple B+ level wins :think If he was 100% maybe it would be a bit harder for MAB but still win no doubt! I bet if anyone asked MAB thats one of his easiest fights not top 10 hardest in career for sure.

 

Morales would've mauled that dirty dwarf.

Exactly. Hamed was a fraud. In retrospect, it's shocking people thought he could beat Barrera.

 

MAB was actually asked what his hardest and greatest achievement in the ring was and he said, "Naseem Hamed". The fact that MAB had to change his whole style to win on points is a testament to how great Hamed was, even when he was drained and suffering from injured hands, MAB still wouldn't engage or go for a KO, he had to play it safe right until the 12th round when he knew the fight was won and his true aggressive self came out and he slammed Hamed's head against the turnbuckle. Anyone who is familiar with Hamed's career knows he wasn't himself, just compare his photos from the previous fights to his Barrera fight - he looked half-dead when he entered the ring! Also, Barrera said in the post-fight interview he didn't engage because he didn't want to get KOd. He was smart on the night, but a well trained Hamed with the focus he had in the 90's would play with Barrera or Morales, he was undefeatable back then, which is why Barrera and Marquez refused to fight him back then, as confirmed after the Augie Sanchez fight when HBO listed the fighters who refused to fight him. You just bypassed everything I said to insist that he was 'exposed'. Hamed was undoubtedly past prime. He was a whole level worse than he once was.
He would have had more problems with Barrera than Morales. Morales and Hamed being my all-time favourite fighters.

 

Naz was a very good fighter with excellent power.

Morales is a legend.
