It took Joe 10 years to rack up 21 SMW defences.

It took Sven Ottke 5 years to rack up the same amount of defences , but he held the more meaningful IBF strap.

That tells you all you need to know.

    Idea for charity fundraiser #38869

Herol gets sponsored for going a whole week without responding to a Calzaghe bashing thread... actually forget about it. You'll never be able to do it.

You should write an 'expose' about it. It'd be a far better use of your time than commenting on every single thread.

That way you'd get it out of your system.

ahh but you've noted that these threads are started every week in multiple amounts.

no smoke without fire, my friend. You opened a can of worms there. I'd have to modify "kliturd self destructs once again" for you but I actually feel calzaghe was better than wlad.

The funny thing is I don't consider myself a 'fan'. I just don't hate the man and to someone like you who devotes a large amount of their forum time to slating him that seems to be one and the same thing.

The other thing is, these are obvious bait threads and you do take whatever Calzaghe flavoured bait there is. Write a tell all book, My Hatred Of Joe Calzaghe: The Herol Gee Story. It'd be quicker and easier for all of us and allow you to spend more time talking about other, more current fighters.

They're back handed compliments and you know it. And they're on EVERY thread.

This is the type of thing I mean, sarcastically implying he's my 'hero' because I don't hate him.

How about a sequel to that book?

Why I Still Despise Joe Calzaghe Despite His Retirement by Herol Gee.

I must have missed them. Care to give me a list of everything you like/don't hate about him?

Should make for an interesting if short read.

Then we are largely in agreement.

But It isn't about benefitting from hometown advantage, it about where the best competition can be fought consistently. Fair or unfair, a fighter can fight in the US for the entirety of his career' not get labelled as a regional fighter, and still fight world class opposition. The same cannot be said for the UK, and certainly not Germany. It isn't a slight, it's a numbers thing. More fighters based in the US, and more revenue.
