Mijares vs. Navarro dwarfs anything else mentioned so far. [yt]zAQBEi1tUoU[/yt] Find me four Navarro rounds, let alone twelve.
No where near the level of some of the aforementioned, but Emmanuel Augustus vs. Courtney Burton was one of the worst robberies ever....
Because it wasn't that bad. It should have been 115-113 Pac. Two judges had that same exact score going Bradley's way. Big whoop. Not even top 15 bad decisions of the calendar year.
That is one of the most obviously corrupt performances from a sporting official in modern times. I doubt I'll see a referee warn a boxer about punching his opponent in the face during a boxing match ever again.
For Burger Squad and WBC "champ" of the world to rake on psychotic Squad 160 lb Charlie Zelenoff for the UBF title lol
Yeah, because it was Pacquiao. There was lots of whining throughout boxing media and between fans, but in reality that was a fight that a couple of judges scored 115-113 for one guy that should've been scored 115-113 for the other guy. That's a far cry from "worst decision in boxing history".
whitaker-chavez (whitaker completely dominated, won every round and got a fkin draw! Speaks to how much JCC was protected) taylor-chavez I (catastrophically terrible decision to stop the fight with 2 seconds left. Clearly shows how much JCC was protected...even the ref as in on it.)
The worst robberies of the fights mentioned aren't the big fights that are well remembered as robberies. Santa Cruz-Casamayor, Lara-Williams, Augustus-Burton stand out to me as the worst of this century. Another that sticks out to me is Burgos getting shafted vs Rocky Martinez, just because I'd wagered the most I ever have on a fight. When a top contender or champion who doesn't already have significant drawing power is robbed it hurts his career so much more. That scorecard in the Mijares-Navarro fight doesn't merit it a 'robbery'. It's a technicality more than a blemish against a guy's record if he has a sd rather than a ud on his record. An atrocious scorecard, and the judge should never be allowed to judge a fight again, but it's just evidence why we have three judges.
LOL every round? No way. Fight was close if you score it the way it's supposed to be. PEA won his rounds more convincingly. Taylor was robbed of his livelihood and brain function. Dude was done.
Fury McDermott 1 was looking daylight robbery I know people who walked away from the sport after that and have not watched boxing since
