Thurman is a KO waiting to happen. Collazo, Guerrero, Diaz, Karass, and Chavez all hurt him(some more than others). Thurman is athletic, skilled and likely a though fighter mentally but physically he seems somewhat fragile.
That must be some good crack you're smoking. I expect it to look like a repeat of Thurman vs Guerrero. Porter tries to swarm, but Thurman keeps him at a distance with jabs and movement coasting to an easy points victory. Porter exhausts himself with Kamikaze like bull rushes and sloppy arm flailing while Thurman clinically backs up and lands the straighter cleaner shots. Thurman probably doesn't even half to clinch half as much as Brook when he beat Porter.
Agreed, but he'll also use his legs to stay away from Porter more than Brook did, and avoid the rush, rather than blunt it.
"Upstairs" isn't referring to someone as God. If you have ever had a job, particularly in a corporate environment, upper management is often referred to that way.
If slow ass Collazo and Guerrero had success pressuring him at certain times in their matches, Porter can, its gonna look like Brook-Porter only Keith doesn't have the physical strength to outmuscle and out wrestle Porter for twelve rounds, Shawn will hit him anywhere he can and fleeting glimpses of Keith's chinnyness we've seen in the past will be on full display. Also if a fighter can get in close enough and I think Porter's chin is good enough to withstand his power he can, and Keith is open to hooks, which Porter loves to throw. I've long thought this would be a stylistic nightmare for Keith.
Hats off to Al on this one. Excited for this fight. Shawn Showtime Porter is a bad ass. Look at his resume, Broner, Diaz, Malignaggi, Alexander, Brook, those are better than Keith 1 Time Thurman' opponents. Floyd never fought Thurman. Thurman needs this fight. It is time for Thurman to climb that mountain top. He has an 81% ko pct. I believe Thurman will earn the #1 welterweight status after this one.
