I've watched the rematch countless times, it was the final round and Cotto had more than enough to last 3 minutes. Margarito was nowhere near to stopping Cotto.

I think Cotto swept nearly every single round.

If the fight had continued, Cotto still would have won.

 

Look here man, enough is enough, the man could have permanently lost an eye. there's no way he could see all those lefts coming at his face. He had to be protected from himself, if you're such a big fan and "friend" why is that so hard for you to get. There was no comeback to mount, he hadn't won a round, so he might have won a round or two at the end, but there is no way he could have inflicted enough punishment to repeat what happened in the first fight, he wasn't anywhere near the level of performance at that stage as he was in the first fight. You can cry, whine, and complain all you want, but the only reason he is even able to consider fighting again, is because he was saved from himself in the rematch. A fight he was not going to win.

Margarito doesn't deserve a rematch. Cotto introduced him to butt stuff last time out.

 

Nothing would have changed. You're hatred blinds you to the obvious. Maybe he wins a round, possibly two. No more than that. But he could have permanently lost his eye. The only thing that got saved was his eye.
