    He wasn't getting shut out and beaten up, it was a close fight that he was losing because he wasn't active enough.

    Kinda ridiculous this was one of just two world title bouts on the card yet so far down the running order. I guess Troyanovsky hasn't built up much of name at home yet to be outranking the likes of Chakhkiev or even Kudryashov, let alone institutions like Povetkin or Lebedev.

    He was getting shut out and beaten up because he wasn't active enough (and even when he was active he wasn't stringing together much clean effective work before getting countered and chased off), and because Troyanovsky's punches were visibly causing him pain in every round.

    You are are right Povetkin, Lebedev and Chahkiev are far more popular than Troya, even Kudryashov, who is still a prospect is more popular.

    Optically Troya looks like a bum, his hand and footspeed are horrendous, his balance and footwork are bad too, but he kicked Cuenca's butt, who was a favorite in the eyes of hardcore fans

    I actually thought this was Troyanovski vs some bum for that reason so I didn't even bother to watch it as I'm not really a big Troya fan, only later on in the fight (basically last two rounds or so) I decided to see how it's going and noticed it's Cuenca lol.
