He is a much smarter boxer than Chakhkiev and Kudryashov.

Indeed. Clinical performance from him. One of his best in quite some time. I wonder what's next for him? Surely he'll be able to fight early next year as he took very little damage tonight.

Would Ryabinsky consider a showdown between Lebedev and Drozd? That'd probably be the best cruiserweight fight since Adamek-Cunningham I.

Not sure what you're going on about.... He's basically fought 3x in the last calendar year.

He was certainly very impressive but he could also face much better opposition, someone like Makabu or Dorticos.

He took a tough loss from a guy on roids and had a break, nothing wrong with that.

Yes Mr. Cynical. He's fought twice this year, and fought last September. A little more than a calendar year, but close enough.

You're ignoring a couple of things though... Like canceled fights, the fact that he took a severe beating and so on. He hasn't been as inactive as you're suggesting.

hIS OPPONENT was cherry picked to make him look good.

He's a pure boxer now and looked good but he has never sought competitive fights and likely never will.

Exactly. Perfectly reasonable to take a year off after a beating like that.... He's also forgetting that the rematch was canceled literally the day it was supposed to take place.

Hopefully they watch his fight later and take notes.
