yeah thing is, OJ got away with it if he did it, and isnt likely to admit to it now is he?

whereas if tyson did it, you'd expect some kind of expressed contrition all these years on. and theres not been any - in fact he expressely denies doing anything, quite forcefully - which is what you would expect if he was innocent...or perhaps extremely stubborn.
tyson loses nothing by admitting he did it.

as time goes by I am more inclined to beleive him.... especially sinc eyou dont hear the other side from that girl.

 

Especially since the Desiree Washington falsely accused someone else of the same crime some time earlier and they didn't allow that testimony in court. Tyson's Lawyer sucked

 

Tyson carried the seeds of his own destruction.
He was/is crazy as hell.
Prison or not, he would have found a way to implode.

 

He was already in decline after the Spinks fight. Holyfield would still have beaten him in my opinion had they fought in 1992.

 

For all the 'nut-hugging' Tyson fans out there, here is some of the trial with my opinions as well.
I think this is what happened.
Desiree Washington was naïve and stupid. Tyson was a woman hunting predator.
She went to his room, started making out, and ol' Mike started getting aggressive. The bimbo realized she was in over her head and wanted out. If ANY woman says NO regardless of previous flirtations, then NO MEANS NO! Not many know some of the particulars that were brought out at the trial.
The medical examiner who testified said that her **** and ****** looked like it had been 'ploughed thru by a lawnmower.'
Sorry Mike, guilty as charged.

Yes, a reasonable possible scenario, but you are merely speculating .... "I think this is what happened ... "

A justice system cannot work on mere speculation.

What are the "particulars brought out at the trial" that not many know ? Do you know them ?

Any medical examiner that would describe damage as "ploughed through by a lawnmower" needs to be severely questioned on that claim. I would question how many times he'd seen lawnmower damage to the ***** area ... I would also question how/if she survived or healed at all, since I'd imagine taking a lawnmower to a ***** wouldn't just cause damage and pain but would cause permanent mutilation, massive emergency loss of blood and very possibly death .....
It does not seem like a reasonable medical professional description of the damage at all.

 

Having said all that, I DO believe Tyson r@ped her.
But in a court of law I would say "not guilty" because how can I really know ?
Who am I to send a man to jail based on my belief/hunch ?

 

Prisons ALL OVER the world are 99.9% full of " innocent " men.

If Tyson's defence lawyer had called witnesses to discredit Washington on her previous s.e.x. life then the prosecution could have called, witnesses Tyson had previously assaulted and paid off.

There would only have been one loser there, and it wouldn't have been Washington., that is why Tyson's defence didn't go down that route.

Despite the wishes of his soppy fanboys, the guy is ****** scum, and hopefully for the rest of his miserable life will rightly have to adhere to this.

For me the question is not so much whether Tyson ****d her, as whether the prosecution met its burden of proof beyond reasonable doubt.

It is my opinion that he should never have been convicted on the available evidence.

As for his career decline, I think that was inevitable, and already well underway.
