I really want Frampton to win this fight and 3 months ago i would of said he would smash Quigg to bits, but after speaking to Jason Booth and others I really think Quigg is going to win this fight by stoppage.

What Quigg did to Munyai and Kiko was frightening

Kilos bad luck is our gain. His fiast ko by quigg..albeit a bit of a fluke.....helped make this fight. Most had come to realise Carl is levels above, and as a result interest among fans was waning....but quiggs rejuvenated hopes will be cruelly dashed. Frampton is simply better than him.

Len, quit the trolling and fishing for one minute, and answer me a simple question.

Who has Frampton beaten, that makes you think he's anything more than European level ?

I'll admit to being a critic of common opponent triangulations, but Kiko didn't lose to a lucky punch, he was dismantled by a peach of a shot, a shot that Quigg has thrown many times against many opponents, you really should do your homework.

Kiko was also beaten by Munroe, the same Munroe that was taken apart with body shots by Quigg.

Frampton hasn't beaten anybody except Kiko, and Kiko's proved to be nothing more than average.

I do hate it when opinion gets gets confused with fact.

Well it's true Carl hasn't been dropped by Jamie Arthur...or didn't "win" his title in a DRAW with Salinas.....hell just have to make up for all that in February by defeating another challenger for his world title, by say ..oh...a stoppage in about 9-10!!!

Well hes beaten 2 former and 1 current world champ has he not? one of which was a 2 weight world champ

I always think the Molitor win is completly ignored yet it was his 15th fight and Molitor is the much bigger man

I have no issues with people picking Quigg to win, thats fair enuff but once u start doubting Carls pedigree then ur either trolling or just being ignorant

People are looking to the Gonzalez fight as reasoning why Quigg should win this but when its broken down and looked at objectively Frampton had everything stacked against him that night. Fighting basically in Mexico, against a guy who is not a road sweeper but considered to be genuinely a decent boxer (who may i add already had upset and defeated an amateur standout) from a boxing family and had all the height and reach advantages possible at the weight.

Yet after a complete disaster in the first he came back to basically win every round boxing both on the back and front foot and looked great in doing so (illustrated by the non bias thread in the general forum).

Even when that fight was announced Doug Fischer stated it would be a very tricky task yet this is all ignored?

Quigg lets face it has nvr been challenged like that, he has always had every possible advantage stacked in his favour in every fights hes had.. Would Quigg have the metal to do what Carl did in El Pasco? who knows? hes only ever faught ppl he has a size advantage over and with the comfort of home advantage (albeit usually infront of other peoples fans but still at home with the crowd behind him)

Those r the nights champions r secured as champions.....

Im sure there is not a person on this forum that wasnt thinking Quigg vs Frampton wasnt happening when Kiko and Quigg were sitting down in their corners after round 1 in their fight because i sure as hell was

and ill say it again, let the best man win :good

    Good post. :good

At least you come up with an argument and reasoning behind favouring Frampton, Len just picks winners based on Nationality.

Like i keep telling others, i've never picked a winner between the two, and i'm well aware of what Frampton brings, my problem is that due to resume, people completely write Quigg off.
The fact is Frampton hasn't beaten anybody either, and Quigg beat Framptons career highlight, without breaking sweat.

    As for the Molitor argument,

Molitor won a vacant belt, had been out the ring for almost 12 months before fighting Frampton, had his ears boxed off by Ndlovu ( who he'd beaten previously ), went life and death with Jason Booth, and was totally embarrassed by Caballero, lost the first time he defended his title outside of Canada ?
A reasonable fighter, nowhere near great, and well past his sell by date when he lost to Frampton.

    So i'll ask again....

    Who has Frampton beaten ?

Southpaw already answered the question for me, but if i decide to change it in the future, i'll be sure to run it by you first.

By your reasoning, who has Quigg beaten?

    Thank you!

Id say life and death with Jason Booth is giving Booth a bit too much credit, if i remember (i watched it live on tele) correctly Booth was in the fight at the start then got stopped mid to late rounds? But at no stage did Booth look like he'd win (even with home advantage)

Molitor is also btw a 2 time champ (not a great champ ill admit but still)

In response to "who has he beaten" what i outlined in my first post, by fight 21 he has as respectable record as anyone could expect...

Aint too many fighters at this stage of his career who has better resumes, by the time Joshua or Campbell get to their 21st fight do you think their resume will be any better? or will they be legit world champs in their own right? id be surprised

How long did it take for Kell Brook to fight even a ranked fighter? (again huge Brook fan)

In all honestly, i have up until recently liked Scott Quigg but persona wise hes trying to be something he is not, between the cheque stunt and the "ill take his head off comment" on sky i just think to myself let your boxing do the talking and let ur skill determine if u get fans behind u.... Dont try and be something ur not, charisma is not something that can be learnt, and this is b4 i even speak about the way he was awarded his "interim belt" and the way he talks about it

One thing i would also say is that Eddie is 100% behind all that i dont like in Quigg atm, of that i have no doubt

and just to finish off with something else i have no doubt over, Quigg could win this fight, im by no means a "Frampton is winning this at a canter" person
