    WBC trying to compete with WBA by declaring Floyd emeritus Champion at 147lb & 154lb

    I could live with 147, but why both weights?

    As said in another thread, at least they don't recognise their own rankings champion as a true world champion. WBA regular is their rankings champion, the interim belt is awarded to the number one challenger in their rankings system. Super Belt is awarded more on merit by unification or significant achievement.

    Adrien Broner now promoted Super Champion to enable the Interim champ to fight for the regular title

    Presumably there will be vacant interim title fight soon

    What did Bowe do RE: a world title belt? It was before my time i'd imagine.

    I always Cringe when Quigg calls himself a world champ, no you're not mate you're number 1 contender to Rigo he's the world champ you've just got the contender belt.

    The sooner a top P4P fighter bins a WBA belt off the better, I can likely see it coming from a Haymon fighter as they make little fuss of the belts in PBC shows already,

    He dropped the title in the bin at a press conference after the WBC ordered him to fight Lewis.

    Lewis was then made champion without "winning" the title (in the ring).
