I might be going mad but I thought Fielding had Smit hurt between 1st and 2nd knock down?
Fielding was in trouble himself so didn't realise and Smith looked on shaky legs.

Not taking anything away from Smith, was just sure he had been buzzed there

Caught Callum with a good shot, but dont think it troubled him, he just smiled back and put him on his **** straight after.

Your not going mad mate it was a high pressure shoot out both boys going at it! and Rocky was just unlucky enough to get tagged first, it happens when its a ****ing contest for the bragging rights to a city like Liverpool, it does not make Callum Smith the second coming of jesus nor Rocky Fielding ****!!! boxing tactics went out the window tonight, it was a case of who landed first and lucky for paul it was his little brother!!!

No what we seen was Rockys punches were readable at that level, were much slower too. Callum fought with his brains. Rocky recovered after first knockdown, it wasn't luck it was a gulf in class to why and how Callum beat him.

Certainly an aggressive fast puncher, not sure if he's the next Froch or even close.

Even though he only beat Rocky Fielding who is a decent fighter, you could be right. Now Ward has moved up, Froch & Kessler are finished and Abraham is passed his and was never elite at super middle anyway, super middleweight is wide open. I'd give him a good chance against any of the top super middles, maybe slightly favouring Degale. Based on his performances why wouldn't he be able to beat the likes of Badou Jack, Abraham and Chudinov?

That is my view, from being a strong division at world level it is now a very weak one. As for DeGale i think that would be Callums hardest fight in division at the moment just feel DeGale tires late in fights and Callum dont and because of that he would win on points or with a very late stoppage.

Fielding is euro level at best and expected nothing else than a comfortable win for smith.

Badou Jack is an awkward boxer, not sure callum is ready yet, possibly by the end of next year if he can get some names/world level experience on his record.

Would like to see him an groves now boy George has assumed the gatekeeper role.

Callum needs to strike whilst the iron is hot and try and get a final eliminator for the WBC or even better a fight with Badou Jack.

If he wins a world title in under four years as a proffesional then he is truly something special, however a one round shootout win against Rocky Fielding does not put him in Degales league just yet.

You are forgetting Degale smashed Paul Smith in his ninth fight, lost a close fight with George Groves and has beaten Periban and Andre Dirrell.

Callum Smith v James Degale in a wbc/ibf unification fight would be massive, not quite Wembley Stadium massive but big nonetheless.

Would put him around top 5 now, would say degale,Abraham, groves and jack are above (the latter three just about but a Callum win over them can't be classed as an upset)

Love watching Smith fight, I could care less... Special talent. Another fight before challenging for a world title, or beating put in a big fight certainly wouldn't hurt.

Massive credit goes to Smith I thought Rocky had the beating of him and backed him to win.but his shot selection was superb. And I dont think Callum was troubled at all by Rocky.

Murray and Degale would be a superb fight for callum in the future
