The problem I have with Joshua is he looks a bit stiff, Whyte has more mobility and Haye was certainly quicker. And of course Wilder a chinless wonder.
True, All the cab drivers, laundry mat clerks, pizza delivery drivers should respect him, they may be his next opponent. He will get respect when his record doesn't include part time boxers who work in the above jobs..
As a fellow overhyped glass-jawed yank I can settle this debate by confirming that Wilder has no chin, and no heart. None. They call me "Wilder" at work, because when I first started I was hyped as "the saviour" of the company. It wasn't until one of my western European colleagues shattered my glass jaw for calling football "soccer" that they started referring to me as "Wilder". Now when we go drinking after work one of the Euros always throws a paper airplane at my chin, then they all laugh as I skate around on the dancefloor like a new born calf.
Threadstarter doesn,t understand boxing for sure!! Wilder is a worldchampion who defended his title twice ( both on tko,s ) he also has the highest ever .ko ratio.
He had the belt practically handed him.... How the WBC handled things after Vitali dropped the belt was PATHETIC. Stiverne/Arreola II was an absolute joke of fight. Shouldn't have to explain why by some people seem to have a short memory. Stiverne beat Arreola in a title eliminator.... Beat him from pillar to post and won a comfy decision. So when the fight with Vitali never came to fruition, instead of making a worthwhile tournament consisting of capable heavyweights they put Arreola in a fight against the glass jawed, already exposed hype job Seth Mitchell.... As expected Arreola destroys him inside of a round and somehow earns another fight against Stiverne for the vacant title. On to the fight.... Stiverne the supposed world class heavyweight manages to get outboxed and outworked by Arreola for the first couple of rounds, before catching him in the 6th..... Thus becoming the new WBC Champion. It gets worse though.... Again instead of making a worthy eliminator fight, or a nice little tournament We.Be.Crooks decided to book Wilder/Scott despite the fact Scott was coming off of a bad loss to Chisora, and Wilder had beaten NOBODY ranked. Wilder goes on to beat his good friend and sparring partner under very fishy circumstances, and earns his shot at Stiverne.... As you can see the WBC belt has been absolute circus act since Vitali retired and dropped it. Wilder is not taken seriously by knowledgeable fans for good reason, and he won't until he faces his mandatory or somebody else in the top 10. Looks like he doesn't want to, and is facing TBA in January. Only question this time is whether or not his overmatched opponent will be given adequate time to prepare? Only 2 months out from the fight and still no opponent has been announced, a pattern is beginning to emerge.
That was my thought when I saw it on boxrec. I hope the opponent gets 8 weeks this time. Glazkov, Browne, Wawrzyk or whoever it is.
